Hawke's Bay Antenatal Classes provides antenatal education to all families in the beautiful Hawke's Bay area. Their classes are fun, friendly, informative, impartial and affordable.Janine is a fully Qualified Child Birth Educator (Dip) with over 14+ years of experience within the public and private sectors.Each class is tailored to the needs of the parents who want to learn about late pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding and caring for your newborn - check out the course outline for the extensive list of topics covered. The classes run over 6 weeks - 1 night a week. Classes are held in Napier (Tuesday) and Hastings (Monday) for your convenience. Janine encourage the classes to form coffee groups so you will have the continued support from the others in your class once your baby is born. She networks with local community groups to ensure she knows what is available to you for support.All Mums will receive a goody bag on the first night - goodies proudly donated by local and national businesses.One on One classes are also available - these are ideal for parents that: can't make it to the 6 week classes (times or location doesn't suit) don't want to attend classes are too busy to commit to 6 weeks live out of the city area - mileage may apply mum or baby unwell - topics can be specific to your situation previous pregnancy and just need a refresher only want to cover specific topics These one on one classes consist of four hours - either 2 x 2 hour sessions or 4 hours. These can be held in your home or a venue in Napier, view the websites contact page for booking or more information.The classes are guided by the Ministry of Health (NZ) Pregnancy and Parenting Information and Education Service Specifications.Bookings are essential, full payment is required before classes start. These courses are popular and fill up quickly, so please make contact early in your pregnancy to secure a place (after 14 weeks). Antenatal classes are normally recommended for the third trimester, starting when you are around 28 weeks, and Janine can help you sort this out.
